The Journal of Food, Nutrition, and Health Advances (JFNH Advances) is an international, rigorously double-blind peer-reviewed, and fully open-access journal. JFNH Advances aims to accelerate innovation in food technology and nutritional sciences while addressing contemporary global health challenges. To maintain a highly focused and impactful scientific discourse, the journal welcomes submissions that align with the following core scopes:

  • Nutritional Sciences: Clinical nutrition, public health nutrition, dietetics, and molecular nutrition.

Types of Articles Accepted

To accommodate diverse scientific communications, JFNH Advances accepts the following manuscript types, all of which undergo rigorous peer review:

  1. Original Research Articles: Comprehensive reports on original qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research.

  2. Review Papers: Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and comprehensive narrative reviews that provide critical evaluations of existing literature.

  3. Short Communications: Brief reports of highly significant preliminary findings or novel methodologies.

  4. Case Studies: Detailed reports on clinical cases, community interventions, or specific health phenomena of scientific interest.


Peer Review Process

To ensure the integrity, excellence, and validity of the scientific record, every manuscript submitted to JFNH Advances undergoes a strict Double-Blind Peer Review process. The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed throughout the evaluation process to eliminate bias. Decisions are made by the Editorial Board based on the independent reviews of at least two subject-matter experts.


Publication Frequency

JFNH Advances is published biannually (twice a year), with issues officially released in:

  • Issue 1: January – June

  • Issue 2: July – December

All published articles are immediately and permanently made free to read, download, copy, and distribute under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy

Upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, JFNH Advances strictly adheres to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism, data falsification, and academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts are systematically screened for similarity using Turnitin before moving to the review stage. Manuscripts exceeding the maximum allowable similarity threshold will be immediately rejected.


Archiving and Persistent Identifiers

Every published article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref, ensuring permanent discoverability, stable linking, and accurate citation tracking across global scientific databases.
